Jeannie Fleming-Gifford is a freelance writer, "kid at heart," mama to one little munchkin and the education director for a non-profit community school of the arts.
Graduating with a B.A. in Music and a M.A. in Child Development, Jeannie has worked in quality child development programs, as well as held senior leadership positions in nontraditional educational environments.
Jeannie formally served as director and consultant with CHABAM, The Educational Playcenter. Other educational leadership positions include working as part of the education team at COSI (a science center located in Columbus, Ohio), The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and for Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio.
Jeannie is a 2003 graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders, a program for emerging leaders in Northeast Ohio. Jeannie also serves on the Historical Design Review Board for her city and in her spare time volunteers with her therapy dog, Yani, with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and in the local community.
